Hey all, interested in making your new QL CFG all nice and spiffy?? Well check this site out. It has a list of commands, from removing screen shaking when you are hit, to eliminating rocket trails to increase visibility, to your crosshair not enlarging when you pick up and item. Enjoy!

I have also found out that, if you are not very technical and do not wish to set values on an already used cfg (the one you currently use) You can also use this tool http://www.holysh1t.net/quake-live-config-generator/ to generate a cfg that better fits all of your quaking needs. It is a very simple tool that is easy to understand to say the least. Enjoy

Thanks Nathan.
I'm curious. What do you guys use? I only mess around with cg_fov and that's it.

Yah FOV is fun to mess around with but basically I will list to you some of the commands I make use of.

cg_crosshairPulse 0
cg_bob 0
cg_autoswitch 0
cg_kickscale 0

That's pretty much it for the main ones. Bob and kickscale reduce movement of screen shaking when your player moves, and when you are hit. In no way, shape, or form do I receive motion sickness from anything, its just that it helps you keep a steady arm while aiming! LOL.

As for field of view, I use the largest they offer which I believe is 130. I use this setting because it allows you to see more of the map at once, while also (not all the time, but in most cases) helps increase your aiming of "long" shots!

My FOV is at 84 or something, if I wanted the correct one for my screen I'd have to google for it (goes into decimals)

Although 130 does give you an advantage :P (Can't you set it to higher than that in Q3?)

I have no idea, however the larger your monitor the better as well. How about you all. What is the size of your monitors?

PS: Mine is a 23"

19" wide (16:10)

We've moved our PC's out of the study at the moment and I took the opportunity to *use* my Dad's monitor, which is identical to mine except for a more glossy panel. So far I can't notice that much of a difference...

Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r580mzSxSp8
If you look at the description it says they had do to some developing. I don't get what was developed.
It's possible to do /cg_fov 360 in Q3 (but in a normal screen it's unplayable).
