Well, I've figured out why I get that annoying console spam :name is: "Bek" :default: "UnnamedPlayer"

The answer - Good ol' Xfire.

Probly people who figured this out before me, I'll just be the first one to post it :P
I think I'll e-mail xfire support later..

Thanks Bek, I've always wondered why I get that too but only sometimes, so it must be just when I use Xfire.

"How can I stop the console information from scrolling on screen while I'm playing Quake 3 or Jedi Academy?
If you are playing Quake 3, press the tilde key ~ to drop down the console and type in this command:

/con_notifytime -1

When set to -1, this prevents all console messages from appearing on-screen. When set to anything higher, it sets the amount of time that console log lines appear on-screen.

If you are playing Jedi Academy MP, use this command:

/con_notifytime 0"

Xfire forums result. I don't reccomend using this because then you cant read what people say unless you open the console which is still filled with Name is Bek blah blah. Very annoying.
